OnDeck Events is a fully accredited member of CLIA (Cruise Lines Int’l Association), as well as Travel Leaders Network, a leading North American travel network. From a cruise event perspective, we are fully certified for “Meetings & Events at Sea” by both CLIA and Meeting Planners International (MPI) to organize, conduct and manage cruise ship-based group activities and events. We are also very proud of our Ship Charter Broker certification from ASBA (Association of Ship Brokers and Agents), and have been recently certified by the Small Business Administration as an SBA-Certified Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB)
Experienced Leadership
The OnDeck Events team is headed by Robert Chamberlin, a Cruise & Event industry expert with a combined 20+ years of experience in the Travel, Cruise and MICE events industry. Robert is a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and has since been actively involved in the Cruise industry holding several senior management positions in Port Operations, Sales & Marketing, e-Commerce, and Cruise-based MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) events with both major cruise lines and cruise distributors. Over the years Robert planned and delivered several group events ranging from 100 up to 2,000 guests onboard cruise ships in both North America, as well as Europe and Australia, thus gaining first-hand experience in the complexities and benefits, of cruise ship-based events. Robert is an active member of CLIA (Cruise Lines Int’l Association). as well as MPI (Meeting Planners Int’l) and the Travel Leaders Network (TLN) and holds a CLIA/MPI Certificate on Meetings & Events at Sea.
Over the years, OnDeck Events has become a global leader in the organization, management, and delivery of world-class MICE events onboard some of the world’s largest and most advanced cruise ships. Our events experience spans Corporate Meetings, Incentives, Association gatherings, music festivals, sporting events, and various other types of onboard group events.
Event Industry Expertise & Partnerships
Angela DiDomenico is our Events Management Director with over 30 years of experience managing and motivating high-performing event teams and partners. Angela started in the travel industry as a Cruise Planners franchise owner and has since increased her knowledge and expertise in all areas of the cruise industry. Over the years Angela has become a well-recognized industry expert in group travel, meetings, and events on board cruise ships ultimately partnering with OnDeck Events in 2019 to support the growth of our company in partnership with Global Strategic Events, a meetings & events company founded by Angela.
While having the pulse on the cruise industry’s trends, Angela provides a hands-on approach to OnDeck Events customers and partners by leveraging her intricate knowledge of cruise group operations, logistics, and event planning.
